Polo, the Sport of Kings.
This is indeed a sport played amongst the rich and famous, however, Polo is much more than just that; it’s all about speed, finesse and great courage of both horse and rider.
The object of the game is to score as many points as possible by hitting a small ball with a stick across the field. Harmony between horse and rider is paramount.
You don’t have to bee that good at it, or even able to ride, to enjoy this impressive sport. In fact those who have done less riding before trying polo are often at an advantage because the polo position is so different to normal riding.
Come to Dubai and experience it for yourself. You don’t have to be royalty to engage in the Sport of Kings.
DUBAI POLO ACADEMY AT ARABIAN RANCHES
The Dubai Polo Academy, situated in the magnificent Arabian Ranches Polo and Equestrian Club is a world class facility in a world class destination.
Situated only 20 minutes from downtown Dubai the Polo Academy at Arabian Ranches is able to accommodate all levels of playing ability.
The season runs from October through to the end of May and during this time the Club plays host to an abundance of matches and tournaments and accommodates a heavy schedule of lessons, clinics and master classes.
Beginners are invited to join the 3 day Introduction to Polo course which will equip them with all of the necessary skills to compete in the finale ‘Big Match’, whilst
existing players can join in the club chukkas or battle it out in front of the crowd at one of the sponsored exhibition games.
The Clubhouse is based on a Spanish Hacienda design and has a beautiful Courtyard with water features, gardens and a grand patio in the centre of the building.
FACILITIES at the Dubai Polo & Equestrian Club:
Ippos Lounge & Bar, ideal for gatherings and private dining, with decor by Ralph Lauren.
Koshin Lounge & Bar, located in the east wing of the clubhouse, an oriental themed lounge to relax and enjoy authentic cocktails and snacks to experience the magic of the Far East.
Epona Lounge & Bar, this African style lounge, located in the east wing of the clubhouse, is the ideal place to enjoy some exotic cocktails and sample some of the chef's specially prepared dishes. The ambience and the original African background music will take you back into a journey through the African continent.
Barooda Lounge & Bar, Moroccans are known for their love of horses and the upstairs lounge is the perfect example of traditional values related to the Arabian horse. Enjoy some authentic Moroccan cuisine, Arabic Music, a taste of Shisha and to round off your Arabian experience, you may as well play a round of backgammon with your friends. As for the knowledge hungry humans, this part of the clubhouse also features a “Polo Club Library” and Internet Access.
The Palermo Restaurant, is open to the public but can also cater for private functions and receptions. With its high ceilings and the Mediterranean ambience, this restaurant will not only have Spanish favourites but also feature the famous Tapas that are a Spanish culinary delight.
Fully fitted gym.
Swimming Pool; chill out at the temperature controlled pool and enjoy a cold drink and light snack. Your family can join you too. And if you have little ones, they really will have good time at the kid's pool. If you are not into activities at all, the pool area offers a perfect retreat, watching the desert sunset and relaxing your mind.
Spa; Chose from the a-la-carte menu the best treatment before or after your riding session. A visit to the Angsana Spa will relax your mind and body.

Whether your purpose is team building, as an incentive, or as client entertainment, The Corporate Polo Experience will be remembered for years to come.
This unique and exhilarating concept allows delegates to experience first hand the three key elements to polo: riding, hitting technique and rules. Once complete, your clients’ newly acquired skills are put into practice as they compete in a knockout tournament. Even complete novices will be amazed by their achievements and are guaranteed to become increasingly creative with descriptions of their newly found natural polo ability!!!
Following a sumptuous lunch served within the beautifully landscaped gardens, clients will have the opportunity to cool off in one of the refreshing affinity pools, take a treatment in the spa or simply relax and watch a professional polo match.
Still exhilarated from the day’s events, clients are invited up to the rostrum during the prize presentation to receive their team and individual awards.
As the sun sets over Dubai there is no better place to be than at the Polo Club sipping champagne and offering the Professionals advice on how they can improve their game!!!
